A hard, dense, and strongly bonded working surface
Neo provides tungsten carbide coating services in cooperation with a trusted specialist partner. Working together, we develop coating solutions tailored to the operating conditions of each roll and the performance requirements of our customers.
High Velocity Air-Fuel (HVAF) and High Velocity Oxy-Fuel (HVOF) are advanced thermal spray processes used to deposit hard, dense, and strongly bonded tungsten carbide-based coatings.
For industrial rolls, the coating creates a highly durable working surface that protects the underlying material against abrasive wear, erosion, scratches, and other surface damage. This helps the roll retain its geometry and surface characteristics over longer production campaigns.
The coating composition and application process are selected according to the roll material, operating environment, required surface finish, and primary wear mechanism. After coating, the roll can be precision ground and finished to meet the required final specification.
