With achievable tolerances as tight as 1 µm (0.00004 in), we routinely meet the demanding requirements of high-precision industrial applications.

To put this level of accuracy into perspective, the relationship between one micrometre and one metre is the same as that between one millimetre and one kilometre. A red blood cell is approximately 7 to 8 µm wide, meaning that our achievable tolerance of 1 µm is only a fraction of its diameter.

Our grinding capabilities cover straight cylindrical surfaces as well as complex roll profiles, including crowned and concave geometries. Every roll is ground according to the customer's drawing, operating conditions, and required profile.

Precision grinding can restore worn rolls, correct geometric deviations, remove damaged surface layers, and return critical dimensions to the required specification. Throughout the process, we carefully control parameters such as diameter, roundness, cylindricity, profile accuracy, and runout.

The geometry of a roll has a direct influence on contact pressure, material distribution, product quality, and the stability of the entire production process. Even a deviation invisible to the human eye can affect roll performance. Our precision grinding process ensures that the roll performs exactly as intended across its entire working surface.
